The inspiration
The name Villa Naumanni comes from the Lesser Kestrel, a species in danger of extinction that nests in in the walls of the farmhouse. The farmhouse has been restructured in such way to preserve the existing nests and to create new ones; these new nests are built in such way to allow ornithologists to monitor the nesting process.
We host the only colony of Lesser Kestrels in the Lazio region. The colony grew from one nesting couple in 2011, to 19 nesting couples in 2018.

Turismo Ecosostenibile
Transforming a traditional Italian villa in a sustainable structure is a path that stems from a deep love for nature and the awareness of the impact the tourism industry has upon the environment.
The main building, a nineteenth century stone farmhouse which was abandoned for the past 40 years, has been restored using recycled materials (beams, trusses, wood, terracotta tiles, bricks, stone), local materials (stone, earth, timber), energy saving technologies (wood fireplace, LED lights, A ++ class appliances), and sustainable technologies (septic tank of phyto-purification, tanks for rainwater and pits recovery).
Villa Naumanni is equipped with a water purification system to reduce the use of plastic bottles.
Choosing to stay in an eco-structure helps reduce the negative impact that hotels have on the environment.
